Rendezvous

Many a times
a face in the crowd holds on to the heart,
With stolen smiles
N hide n seek of the eyes,
Conquers the thoughts
Teases the mind n tugs the heart,
Following every move
never taking eyes of the other,
The sign language continues
one after another,
After a long unforeseen rendezvous
the day comes to an end,
N the face is lost in the crowd again.

Rainbow

Shining in the sun n rain
like a crown
in the sky,
Frail in its appearance
but eternal is its
light,
Woven with colors of hope,
There’s not one glimpse
of night,
Sprinkling colors
of joy,
The rainbow of life..

Faces..

Everywhere ive been,
Many faces ive seen,
Each with a different tale to tell,
Each living in their own shell,
With myriad expressions,
Lost in different directions,
Every face
wearing a mask,
Every face
a mystery to unmask,
Some happy, some not,
Watch the faces,
They speak a lot.

A Dream..

When life seems so rough,
When the going gets tough,
My imagination comes into play,
N takes me away,
to a land of dreams,
A dream far away from reality,
A dream yet so real,
Where the stars shine,
Sun smiles,
N so does my heart!
Every wish granted,
Every dream blessed,
An escapade, helping me cope with reality,
A land never real n never will be,
A dream flowing like a stream,
In the land of my dreams..

Lonely..

How vexed is it to be alone?..
The hollow void at times,
Or the strife
against nostalgia of the lost times,
Still a lonely warrior,
Trying to thrive through
the empty path,
Staying up late at night
reliving the moments of the day,
We never seem to be blased,
Reading each others thoughts,
In perfect harmony,
The moon n me..

Duck kingdom

 A lost prince, abandoned at the shore,
Dreaming of his kingdom, which was his no more,
Having lost it to his evil twin,
Wondering if it would have been his destiny if he had ever sinned.

Lost in thoughts he looks for hope,
Wishing he hadnt trusted n been such a dope,
An old sage passing by sees the prince,
Tells him words of wisdom to make the prince convince,
For his wisdom was vast n beyond this world,
Following his words of wisdom the prince carries on.

“Spread your wings, race the wind;
Your bravery will help you reach the stars;
Fight for your right with all your soul n might;
Your destiny will reward you in this war.”

 Gathering his few followers he makes a plan,
To attack at dawn n regain his land,
To free his people from his evil twin,
N to fight till the last breath till death may win.

 They set their flight n raced through the wind,
Finishing every single warrior of his evil twin,
Slaying his twin with his blessed knife,
Bringing the magical kingdom back to life.

Remember me?…

She sits there, lost in thoughts, thinking of an encounter;
A brush with the past or just an
illusion of her mind?
A forgotten reality or just a dream?
She reminisces a few things,
her tears n her outcry;
Her heart was broken into a million pieces n
she couldn’t say a word;
Her wrath n her hatred took the upper hand,
though she never meant a word;
Maybe that’s why,
She said
“I want to be free
from you
n from me”;
Maybe that’s why,
She stood in awe n surprise when asked
remember me?…
