Childhood Friends…

Spirited soul, carefree mind n a age so divine;
Thats how we were when we met the first time;
The endless summers, guess it was just my imaginary part;
The best friend i ever had till the day we had to part..

Times changed now, life’s moved on;
Those days seem so far gone;
Moments lost but memories shared;
Oh hidden soul! how well have you fared?..

I wish my dreams would take me back in time;
When the summer was at its prime;
In a land without sorrow or vain;
Wish to know you all over again..

  1. Lovely – I particularly pause on “Oh hidden soul ! How well have you fared?.. ” Great line. 🙂

  2. Beautiful – and a reminder of friendships long gone…

    God Bless!

  3. I think a lot of people will relate to this. The final line is a killer. Someone should put this to music.

  4. Hi hun! 🙂

    Thanks for the visit and comment! 🙂

    I have caller barring, number not disclosed barring and STILL they get through!!!

    It’s amazing what kind of hooks they use, but they still don’t have me, yet still they try…

    Love and hugs!

  5. Hi hun! 🙂

    I’m mostly house bound at present – paranoid schizophrenia etc. – so any trip out has to be carefully planned.

    I’m used to being used by people and my needs taking second place.

    Hugh is incapable of thinking about others for instance, while The Teenager With No Name uses me as a doorkeeper because Chris won’t answer his intercom.

    Roy liked to play the nice guy, but scratch the surface and he was a bitter, twisted, revenge obsessed child underneath who was desperate for power and could not accept it when the ladies refused to suck up to him and kiss his ass.

    Hope you have a great weekend hun – it’s raining here, but the skies will be clear here tomorrow…

    Love and hugs!

  6. It’s a beautiful poem mystique,
    and good to meet you as well !

  7. Very cool. If a guy is allowed to say that about a poem, if not, then forget it!

  8. A lovely poem, Mystique, sharing the innocence of childhood days and memories shared … xPenx

    Wonderful and deeply moving. How we can all relate to ‘childhood friends’ and ponder on what might have been.

  10. Childhood friends always bring back memories… Thank you so much for stopping by n the comment…
